Concrete floor

Concrete flooring can be used either as the final flooring layer or covered with flooring material (e.g., carpet, tiles, etc.). A concrete floor with special treatment and finishing is also an option in modern home interiors. Here we focus on the most common concrete floors – concrete floors with shrinkage joints. These floors are commonly used for basements, garages, warehouses, patios, and utility areas. Such flooring is durable, long-lasting and easy to clean and maintain.

Backing the joint

Backer Rod PE 450 Closed cell foam backer rod

Round backer rod for joint filling to check the depth of the sealant and to avoid triple adhesion.

  • Compatible with polyurethane, hybrid, silicone and most other cold sealants.
  • Highly flexible and compressible for an easy installation. Ensures proper sealant size and shape in the joint.
  • Closed cell structure does not allow the absorption of moisture or air.

Sealing shrinkage joints in concrete floors

Floor Joint Hybrid 25HM Hybrid floor joint sealant

Very durable environmentally friendly sealant for sealing shrinkage joints in concrete floors.

  • High mobility (± 25%) and high modulus of elasticity.
  • Excellent adhesion to most surfaces, no shrinkage during curing.
  • Good UV, weather and aging resistance.

Increasing the wear resistance of concrete floors, makes the dust-repellent and resistant to the effect of chemicals

DustProofer 612 Concrete dust-proofing solution

Chemical reinforcement and dust-proofing agent. See the video from PENOSIL Official YouTube.

  • Makes concrete floor dust-repellent and wear-resistant, preserving the breathability of concrete.
  • Gives concrete surface resistance to effects of water, oil and chemicals (alkalis and acids).
  • Reacts with concrete, thereby rendering the top layer evenly sealed.
