Fireproof filling of vertical joints with mineral wool fibre cord and hybrid sealant
This solution has been tested in 50 mm wide joint, with sealant’s depth of 30 mm.
Fire resistance: E180, EI120.
Backing the sealant
To ensure the sealant’s correct thickness, shape and to prevents the joint’s failure, fire-resistant cord must be used to back the sealant.
FireStop FiberFoc 470 – mineral wool fibre cord wrapped in glass fibre.
Covering the fibre cord and sealing the joint
For long-lasting fire-resistant joints, a special fire-resistant sealant must be used to cover the fibre cord and to seal the joint properly.
FireStop Hybrid 720 – hybrid sealant for fireproofing.
