Priming, hydroisolating and waterproofing the subsurfaces

Priming, hydroisolating and waterproofing the subsurfaces

When building or renovating damp rooms special hydroinsulation products must be used to avoid moisture penetration into structures and generation of mould. Hydroinsulation products are applied straight on the floor or wall (i.e., on stone, concrete, waterproof veneer, or other substrate) under the finishing layer (i.e., ceramic tiles, paint, coverings, etc.).

Priming and strengthening the subsurfaces

BetPrimer 603 Primer for porous surfaces

Bonding dispersion for priming.

  • Ensures strong bond between substructure and coating.
  • Can be used on concrete, mortar, brick, stone and gypsum surfaces.
  • Water-based, no odour or hazardous compounds to ensure simple, quick and safe use.

Moisture barrier for humid areas

HydroStop 644 Moisture barrier coating

Liquid coating for humid room walls and ceiling to prevent moisture from permeating building structures.

  • Forms a protective layer on the surface against moisture to protect the walls and ceilings against dampness before installing ceramic tiles, painting or other finishing.
  • Water-based, does not smell or emit harmful compounds.
  • Can be used to protect substrates like gypsum board, concrete, plaster or brick.

Waterproofing wet areas before tiling

AquaBrake Fiber 640 Fibre-reinforced waterproofing mastic

Fiber-reinforced ready-to-use water-based compound for waterproofing the substrate under the floors and walls of wet rooms.

  • Completely watertight after curing to protect the structures of buildings from harmful impact caused by water.
  • Reinforced with fibres to bridge smaller cracks in the substrate.
  • A colour change indicates drying to start the different stages of the work in time.

Tested according to EN 14891.

Reinforcing corners, junctions and cut-throughs during waterproofing

AquaBrake Fabric 435 Reinforcing fabric

Reinforcement fabric to enhance the effect of waterproof sealants and mastics.

  • Reinforces corners, floor and wall junctions and cut-throughs when using waterproofing mastic.
  • Resistant to ageing, tearing and chemicals.
  • Easy to cut suitable pieces.
