The training platform is developed by FEICA in cooperation with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isopa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISOPA<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alipa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ALIPA<\/a>, the diisocyanate manufacturers\u2019 industry associations. It is available in several EU languages and can be accessed here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/isopa-aisbl.idloom.events\/048\" style=\"background-color:#d52b00\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FREE ONLINE TRAINING<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The voucher code is <strong>FEICA_21_G<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Information about this requirement and a link to the training can also be found on Penosil\u00b4s foam labels. After passing the test at the end of the course, the participant receives a certificate valid for five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isocyanates are commonly used as reactive chemicals in the production of polyurethanes, which are used in a wide range of applications, including insulation. It is important to emphasise that there are no free isocyanate groups in final products because they react completely during the curing process in reaction with humidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help ensure the safe use of isocyanates, the training program covers a range of topics, including the health effects of isocyanates (mainly allergies), use of protective equipment and more. It also complies with the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/environment\/chemicals\/reach\/reach_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">REACH<\/a> (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training does not replace or amend other health and safety requirements but is additional to them. <strong>Builders should follow a range of best practice to ensure the safe use of polyurethanes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"default-list wp-block-list\"><li>Wear appropriate protective equipment, including gloves, goggles, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"default-list wp-block-list\"><li>Work in a well-ventilated room to reduce exposure to isocyanates.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"default-list wp-block-list\"><li>Store the products in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"default-list wp-block-list\"><li>Follow the manufacturer&#8217;s technical and safety instructions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By following these guidelines and the online training material, construction workers can help ensure their safety while achieving the best possible results with PU foam.
