USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Choose the backer rod size according to the width and depth of the joint. The backer rod must be approx. 25% larger in diameter than the joint width.

Install backer rod using a blunt tool or a plain roller.

Lightly compress the backer rod into the joint. Set the rod to the depth and ensure it forms a tight seal against the joint edge.

Avoid overlapping the backer rod edges; press the ends tightly together.

TIPS

• Surfaces to be sealed must be clean, dry and free from any dust, loose particles and oil stains.
• Ensure that the backer rod is not stretched, punctured or teared during the installation.
• If the joint edges need to be primed, ensure priming is done before the backer rod is installed.

LIMITATIONS

• The backer rod foam may accumulate electrostatic charges, which might produce electric shocks.
• Temperatures above +250°C may cause the product to decompose.
