Floor covering with parquet

Parquet is one of the most traditional floor coverings, which gives a room the additional elegance associated with real wood. Parquet is durable and can handle heavy loads and traffic. Additionally, wood is a natural material that expands and contracts as the humidity balance and temperature of the room change. This must be taken into account when installing the parquet floor.

Adhering parquet to the floor base

To reduce step noise and the shear stress between the parquet and the substrate, and to compensate for the expansion and shrinkage of wood, elastic glue must be used to fix the parquet.

Floor&Wall ParquetFix 749 – elastic adhesive for installing parquet and wooden boarding. Suitable for waterheated floors.

Backing the joint between parquet and wall

To ensure proper sealant size and shape in the joint and to avoid triple adhesion, a backer rod must be used.

Backer Rod PE 450 – round backer rod with closed cell structure. Highly flexible and compressible for easy installation.

Filling joints between parquet and wall

For long-lasting and nice-looking joints, a sealant with high elasticity and modulus must be used to compensate the expansion and shrinkage of wood and to dampen noise and vibration.

Floor Joint Hybrid 25HM – elastic joint sealant for finishing without skirting boards. Does not contain solvents, isocyanates or other harmful ingredients and ensures simple and safe application.

Adhering the skirting boards durably and quickly

Adhering skirting boards needs a strong and reliable adhesive with fast initial tack.

SpeedFix All Interior 697 – acrylic adhesive with excellent initial bonding for use indoors. Dries quickly without shrinking, odour or hazardous compounds, ensuring simple, quick and safe use.
