How it all began 

PENOSIL’s story began when two young and ambitious entrepreneurs established a company and set out to develop and produce a new generation of construction foams and sealants.  Their new construction foam with controlled expansion quickly gained recognition among builders and set a new quality standard for the industry.  

Encouraged by the trust of builders in 16 countries and ranking among the four leading European manufacturers, the company introduced the PENOSIL brand to a wider audience in the spring of 2006. 

Today, as we celebrate our anniversary, we look back with pride and forward with confidence.

The foundation of every PENOSIL product is our extensive expertise in airtight sealing, bonding and weatherproofing. Our R&D teams in Estonia and Spain continuously work on better, safer and more sustainable products and solutions.
As a professional brand we grow together with our customers in construction and industry. Demanding clients inspire our chemists in Estonia and Spain to develop innovative formulas and new tools to be at the forefront of the industry. 

Long-term partnership with chemical suppliers allows us to introduce advanced technologies and higher-performing raw materials to create the best performing formulas. Together, we also seek ways to reduce the environmental impact of chemicals — in manufacturing, in application, and throughout a building’s lifecycle. 

We save energy 

Born in the Nordic climate we understand the true value of reliable insulation not only for comfort, but also in terms of responsible resource use and long-term savings.  

PENOSIL construction foams, sealants, adhesives, coatings, and membranes are designed to help reduce heating and cooling costs, improve weather resistance, maintain a healthy indoor climate and contribute to the aesthetic quality of buildings.

• We use 100% renewable electricity in all our plants. 

• We recycle 100% of our in-house plastic production waste into tools and components. 

• For us, sustainability is not a trend – it is a responsibility.
