Filling the penetration

To guarantee the pipe penetration’s fire resistance, thermal and sound insulation, the opening around the pipe penetration must be filled with fireproof construction foam.

Fire Rated Gunfoam B1 187 – fire-rated one-component polyurethane gun foam for filling and sealing in places with heightened fire safety requirements. Adheres well to most materials, such as wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC and polystyrene.

Sealing the penetration

To ensure the fire-resistant sealing of pipe penetration before finishing works, an intumescent acrylic sealant should be used.
