Aluminium composite pipe penetration

Aluminium composite pipe surrounding a penetration is usually fireproofed using fire-rated PU-foam and paintable sealant.

To guarantee good thermal and sound insulation together with fire resistance, the whole penetration around the pipe must be filled with fire rated construction foam.

Fire Rated Gunfoam B1 187 – fire-rated one-component polyurethane gun foam for filling and sealing in places with heightened fire safety requirements. Adheres well to most materials, such as wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC and polystyrene.

To ensure fire resistant sealing of pipe penetration before final finishing of the wall, intumescent acrylic with graphite is the best choice.
