Backing the sealant

To ensure the proper size and shape of sealant in the joint and to avoid triple adhesion, a special fire-resistant fibre cord must be used for backing the sealant.

For long-lasting fire-resistant joints, a special fire stopping sealant must be used to cover the fibre cord and seal the joint.
