Fireproofing filling of vertical joints using special PU foam and silicone

To guarantee good thermal and sound insulation together with fire resistance, the whole joint must be filled with fire rated construction foam.

Fire Rated Gunfoam B1 187 – fire-rated one-component polyurethane gun foam for filling and sealing in places with heightened fire safety requirements. Adheres well to most materials, such as wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC and polystyrene.

For long-lasting fire-resistant joints, a special fire stopping silicone must be used to cover the foam and seal the joint.

FireStop Silicone 331 – neutral silicone sealant for fireproofing with increased fire resistance for joints exposed to fire. Specially designed for weatherproofing and sealing of exterior and interior expansion joints where fire resistance is required.
