PVC pipe penetration fireproofing using special PU foam and acrylic

To ensure good thermal and sound insulation together with fire resistance, the whole penetration around the pipe must be filled with fire rated construction foam.

Fire Rated Gunfoam B1 187 – fire-rated one-component polyurethane gun foam for filling and sealing in places with heightened fire safety requirements. Adheres well to most materials, such as wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC and polystyrene.

To ensure fire resistant sealing of pipe penetration before final finishing of the wall, bright white intumescent acrylic is effective.

FireStop Intumescent Acrylic 681 – bright white acrylic-based intumescent sealant for fireproofing joints and sealing penetrations in fire-rated structures. Withstands fire up to 4 hours in a linear and piping joint.
