The next big thing: Lightweight acrylic filler in a cartridge

13.10.2023

We usually see decorators carrying heavy plaster buckets in the working area to prepare surfaces before painting and other finishing works. Now, we have a better solution! Our R&D department has developed a new and innovative product: Penosil LightFiller 620, a quick-drying, lightweight acrylic filler in a cartridge. It is composed of countless tiny glass spheres that contribute to minimal water usage, ensuring the least amount of shrinkage during the drying process.

Penosil LightFiller 620 is an exceptional filler due to its special composition. Compared to a regular filler in a cartridge, it is 50% lighter and shrinks less, making it very easy to apply and allowing the task to be completed much faster.

Penosil LightFiller 620 comes in convenient packaging, remains bright white and dries quickly. After just 20 minutes, it can be sanded and painted over with water-based or synthetic paints. Its formula prevents slumping, brittleness, and cracks, ensuring long-lasting durability.

Penosil LightFiller 620‘s versatility allows it to be used on various indoor horizontal and vertical surfaces, and it is compatible with many porous construction materials such as concrete, plasterboard, masonry, wood and treated metals. Its adaptability ensures it can seamlessly integrate into various construction and renovation projects.

This product is as easy to apply as any other cartridge product. Simply cut the tip of the cartridge. Screw on the nozzle and cut an opening at a 45° angle which is slightly larger than the joint to be sealed. Place the cartridge into a sealant gun. Apply the sealant by keeping an even pressure at the gun trigger and smoothly dragging the nozzle along the joint. Remove the excess sealant and smoothen the surface with a jointing knife.

Often people ask us if Penosil LightFiller 620 can be used for filling bigger (>3cm) gaps. The answer to this question is no. This product is not meant to be used in wider gaps. For filling larger gaps and holes, we recommend using other more suitable Penosil products.

Whether it’s repairing cracks, filling small holes, or smoothing gaps, this lightweight acrylic filler is a perfect solution for quick repair works prior to painting and other interior finishing works.
